stick them in a fruit bowl with a banana - thats what i did last year and they were fine.

this year i did it with some that had slight blossom end rot and they ripen fine too - i hardly had to trim/cut anything off!

I hope so!  I've just made lots of chutney with mine.  I had blight last year as well and tried to ripen them on the window sill but found they all rotted with blight anyway.  Jennyb was obviously luckier than me.  At least this year we had some fresh before the blight hit.

you've jinxed me jazzy byrd!!

yours was the first blight related message i've replied to and i found the first signs on my plants today   oh well guess it was just a matter of time...

and i thought i was doing so well this year.

it's been troubled tomato thursday today, first signs of blight on one of the cherry plants, and catepillars eating my beefsteaks in my mini greenhouse....  i thought they were just going for the leaves but i found the fruit today was being munched.  picked off 3 more huge buggars but i doubt i've found them all.  i think a butterfly got stuck in there  :x

more to ripen in the fruit bowl then i guess.  off to the garden centre for a fungicide now.

I am so cheesed off,

I trimmed back all the leaves last weekend. to help ripen the toms (Not tone has ripened yet!) and today  went out and have found some 1 inch brown patches on the stems and a couple of brown tomatos.
grrrrr I am gutted,
Should I get rid of the infected plants to try to stop it spreading to the ones that look ok? or is it inevitable thet the whole lot will go?

Thanks all

I suspect its inevitable, that's why I picked all my toms, green or not, but you can give it a go.
