I got a two month old rhode island red cockerel yesterday and introduced it to my two 3 year old black rock hens as they were going to bed. I was told this was the best time to introduce new chickens. However they were really rude and would not let the cockerel into the chicken house to sleep and after an hour or so I eventually had to just put him in myself. After that things seemed to be going smoothly and they all settled and went to sleep, however this morning both the hens continued bullying the cockerel to the extent where he is now a quivering wreck and wont come out of the hen house and wont eat or drink, he has spent all day trying to hide from everyone and everything. I really need some advice on where to go from here and what the chances of them all living harmoniously are... help! He looks so distraught!

Oh dear, he is a bit too young to out him in with your hens who at 3 years old are going to be quite assertive. Personally I would take him out till he is older. You could if you have room put him in a little run of his own next to the girls so they can see him but can bully him till he is older.
