Our new girls, especially the Speckledys have had slights blobs of blood on the top of their beaks  :?  I presume they've been fighting over the pecking order ? Any ideas ?

Hi Stamford
It might be worth having a look around your run for bits of protruding wire.

We found this when one of our chooks started pecking at a bit of flour bed with weld mesh over it - the poor chook kept scratching her beak until we found the sticking out bit of wire and tucked it away properly.

Also, when ours have a tiff, they tend to go for the backs of eachothers necks.
