I have a med sized bay tree in a pot.

Every time I go past it is just covered an all sorts of flies. Does any one notice the same problem and what attracts them?.

I've got a couple of bay trees but I have never had any trouble with them.

Any sooty, sticky stuff on them leaves, you got some leaf suckers, or just sunlight - ignore -, or pot dwelling little flies mostly, in which case it's too damp.

Bingo! I'm not that quiet otherwise, before DD. mentions.  

Lovely it was too. Beautiful scenery, mountains, rolling hillsides, lakes and sea. Walks and very fresh air.

My little girl summed it up well though one morning: 'Next time we should go to Africa, right?'
