As many know ive had 6 laying hens die and ive found the problem to be canabelism and bordem .ive got a quarter of an acre and my plan its to fence it all of with electric poultry netting .its going to be about 300 pounds to buy . but with only 10 layers now 15 meats chickens and 2 geese is its all worth it . i do plan to expand on my layers and geese .what do u lot think??

I'd say yes if you are planning to get more birds.

But I can see your predicament

I suppose it depends on how you see your birds, mine are pets so I'd do anything to protect them

Could you start with a smaller area (half?) and build up as and when ?

And would the geese protect the chickens or is that just wishful thinking ?

the geese h8 the chickens lol !! but the other good think is the netting is easily moved and can be rolled up and stored !!
