Hello All

This is my first post here

I am growing cucumbers for the first time and need some advice. I have a cucumber growing in a grow bag in a plastic greenhouse. I did initially have a useable cucumber but all the flowers since have produced a cucumber about an inch long which has not developed further. i have watered daily and fed twice weekly with tomorite. What am i doing wrong?

Hope it wasn't a too bad experience for you, stepping outside the chicken forums & finding that this was an allotment & vegetable site!

Most get over it, but in Babe's case a bit more therapy may be needed.

Now - the cucumber, on the face of it you may be doing everything correctly.

But, can you tell us what variety it is, location of the greenhouse etc.? I'm just wondering it it's getting too hot & it's not humid enough in there.

Sorry but i couldn't tell you the variety as i bought a cucmber plant and a courgette plant from a garden centre. The cucumber had a courgette label and the courgette had no label at all!

Anyway, it is in a growbag in one of those tall plastic greenhouse things which i open up during the day and close at night. It has plenty of flowers and has produced one decent size cucumber so far. I have noticed this morning that another one seems to be passing the 3/4 inch mark  

it is against a wooden fence, south facing.
