Broiler Chicks???
Are these the white eaters?
I fancy having a go at these, I have a spare area and a building that could be converted into a chook house... just an area that is dry and has a perch would be ok yes?

I don't think they will fly anywhere as we have Hubbards and there is no way they can launch themselves into the air. In birds so young you need to be very careful when it comes to wing clipping..................my advice. Don't clip.

If they're anything like Annie's, they'll just about manage walking after a few weeks !
They get big quick and don't stop eating.

I recently culled my J757's at around 16 weeks. They are able to do a bit of a jump but no chance of flying - far too heavy. They also never seemed as "chickeny" as other chooks and so the need to explore never seemed to be a problem. An interesting experiment raising these birds for meat!!
