Is this blight?
« on: August 10, 2008, 17:56 »
I haven't been onto my plot for a week and ..... ahem.... a few things have changed   Marrows where once courgettes were and lots and lots of flowers (lettuces/radish/beetroot etc   ).

I noticed my potato plants looked manky, is this blight? The last time I was up there there was only one plant flowering so I thought they would be a while before the foliage died yet.

I dug some up and they look o.k. If it is blight, are they still safe to eat?

First timer, NOT enjoying the backache anymore!

perfectly safe to eat but won't store well if they have been affected.  I was told to remove all the foliage, leave the spuds in the ground for 10 days or so and then dig them up and they should be fine (if not already manky anyway!)
