Growing little gem lettuce in a growbag, then recently they started dying one by one. Pulling one up today i noticed that around the roots there are all little yellowish bugs! To boot all the roots had a white mouldy substance around it. What is it? Also am i right in thinking i should cut all the lettuce in the growbag now and put it in the fridge and bin the entire growbag soil and all?

Sounds like root aphids to me.

That's unfortunate. Just googled it and it seems it's a bin the grow bag job. Lucky it is only in the grow bag, apparently they are very persistent.
