Hi everyone,
plot is coming along nicely 3 raised beds now done and most of the ground cleared.  Even varnished the shed I inherited with some 10 year old varnish I found in the shed at home!

Couple of quick questions:

1. Are vegetables the same as flowers when it comes to watering?  ie should I avoid watering during hot weather and do it early morning/late evening?  What if I can't get there early morning - is it better to wait until evening or water in the sun anyway?

2.  Very pleased with the brassicas that we planted (they are still alive!) and so are the butterflies!  There aren't too many of them so we just go through one by one and rub the eggs off.  Is it ok for them to fall in the soil or should I be careful to remove from the plot completely?

1 - I'd wait until evening.

2 - Squish 'em. Doesn't matter where they go then!
