Chilli Critter

Hi,

I've nurtured my chillies from seed, growing approximatly 15 plants, then this happens .......

This was the largest chilli on my Hungarian Hot Wax plant, it was fine last night when I tucked it up in bed and read it a story
Came home from work and found it. I've taken it off the plant.

Question is what critter can do damage like this in 12 hrs ??
Must have the constitution of a cement mixer to handle that much
The only comfort i've got is picturing some critter running around holding it's a*se

Just worried about the rest

That's why my capsicum don't go out. Don't know where yours are, but take your pick accordingly, less sowith chiles than sweet peppers, but everybody eats them and hot wax is not that hot.

Birds are no1 as feel no heat so won't hold their back side, slugs, snails, mice, etc., take note of nicely cut out sweet flesh, seeds left behind.

Slugs or a mammal, likely.

You really do "type" like a Jedi master .... have you ever considered a full sentence as a viable amount of effort for dispersing your knowledge? ... or, to put it in your terms "effort this reply will take, apply the same to your capsicums" :|

..and if you reply by posting some cool pics of peppers then I'm gonna ... well, I'd probably cry ... mainly cos ours are just about at the "wow, there's an outside to this husk" stage ... not really got a chance of them growing this year :(

OOOOoooohh

I am really mad now

Came home from work & another flipping chilli on the same plant has been mauled  :x

There was only 3 chillis on the plant, looks like gobs is right with rodent damage.
Only 1 chilli left now, so i've moved the plant to my other plastic greenhouse and set a mouse trap in it's place baited with my secret weapon

A well used Abi Titmouse thong  :tongue2:

Mickey wont be able to resist
