Still in broody box
« on: July 22, 2008, 23:27 »
Winnie hatched her eggs on 31st May ( 7 weeks ago) and she still takes them to bed in the broody box. Should I leave her to decide when they should join "the big girls" in the henhouse or should I move them in one night?

I tend to let my girls decide Poolfield

Last night Wispa took here nearly 8 week olds in to the big coop and they all perched, I was quite suprised as I thought this was early but all were fine this morning :D

Thanks for that, I moved the broody box nearer the main house today and after I had cleaned out the main house I saw 2 of the chicks pop in for a quick inspection. :)
