Yeah  know they are chickens but what sort I really cant remember what eggs I bought lol. Do you think Giraffe is a boy ( the dark one) and sunny the yellow not convinced either way yet and not a clue with baby Pom. They are about 6 or 7 weeks old now.  They are in the dogs cage in the conservatory and no they doint ride the bike its got flat tyres pmsl

my total novice and don't listen to me opinion is something like a Cochin? but really don't know if I'm anywhere near right. The others will be better advised! lol

They are the same age as mine so I'm interested to see a comb, I have a cuckoo maran that looks similar to your middle one and also has a comb, I've thought he was a boy since day one - hoping I'm wrong!

 dont think its a maran i bought 1 maran egg and that  didnt take, i know that because it was the darkest egg and I already have  a maran, would have loved more tho. sunny came out of a green egg and i really really want sunny to be a girl lol kids desperate for green eggs every day.

Are they all from the same brood?  By the way I am still a novice egg head. The darker of the two looks like a Maran   or could be a hybrid i have two speckledys.

i only bought the 1 maran egg and although i have a maran she doesnt lay very often now as she is 4 yrs ols and the eggs they hatched out of were pale brown and green in the case of sunny so relly dont think giraffe is a maran although i do admit they look similar.

Looks a bit like a Poland to me! I thought the dark one was a Maran too, or Speckeldy, barred rock? plymouth rock?  Is sunny a buff orpington?

hm general  census seems to be for maran  re giraffe i tihnk it must be a hybred. pom pom looks like a poland frizzle (can ya get them?) s/hes def the cutest chick i have ever hatched. dunno  what sunny is do buff orps have green eggs and green legs???
while i was away they have all grown loads and im 100%  now thsat giraffe is a boy and it looks like sunny is too..gutted  does anyone have any ideas how to sex polands/frizzles like pom as with no comb/wattle im at a loss until they reach crowing/laying age lol.
