What can I grow?
« on: July 27, 2008, 22:06 »
Hello,

I have just been told that I have been given an allotment and I know it is late in the season but what would I be able to plant now to enable me to get s harvest this year??

Many thanks

Andy

P.S Do I need to think about crop rotation to? If so does anyone have any good plans I could use?

Peas, lettuce, beets, carrots maybe :D
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

Andy. I took my allotment on last September, and had to start digging fast...
My neigbours very generously gave me onion sets, and Leeks. I also planted a bed of Garlic, and shortly after that (October) I planted my broad beans. :D I simply haven't stopped since. 8) enjoy!
Life begins... On the kitchen windowsill.
