fraggles gone broody again !!
« on: July 19, 2008, 16:52 »
only been 9 weeks since littlefoot, betty boop and co hatched.

she's been trying it out for the past few days.

didnt get up this morning, so hoofed her off a little while ago, had some marmite on toast and straight back to the nest box.

ive explained that its not like the council......more babies = bigger house. but she's not bothered :D

I have a BIG fluffy Faverolle who is broody yet again and this must be about the fourth time this year. The thing with her is that her stomach usually over rules her strength of broodiness but this time she is being a little stronger but it’s  too late for eggs now and to be honest I’m not sure is she would sit out the full 21 days.

I would be a bit careful of large fowl favs as broodies, the bantams are fine but dont think any of my big girls would sit for more than 2 weeks! and yes they do like their food!
