Can anyone advise a novice on the best way to clean up after their chickens and transform into manure for the allotment.
Eagles soar but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

Puyt it on a compost heap and mix in generous amounts of weeds and grass clipping. :)

I made my new coop high enough to get a wheelbarrow underneath, so I can just scrape everything straight into the barrow, otherwise a shovel (coal bunker type) is quite useful.
If you've got straw or woodchippings for bedding, it's a bit dry and 'brown' so needs green stuff to get it composting properly, if it's 'neat' it's a good activator.
I demand the right to buy seed of varieties that are not "distinct, uniform and stable".

Urine is a good accelerent for composting. Works well.  Easier for men to apply though.

I put my chook poo straight onto the allotment, just make sure that it is not in direct contact with plants. Seems to work a treat.
