i have some horseradish that is grown to a decent size and the books say lift in october, but - there are flowers or seeds forming on the top.
is it best to pull them off? if i leave them i assume ill have loads of horseradish everywhere?

You will have loads of horseradish everywhere, anyway, unless in containers, so help as much as you can.

When peeling your horseradish remember to wear gloves as it can irritate your skin and eyes.

And yes, it will spread. I have found the perfect way of growing it so as not to spread in my garden. I grow it in my dads allotment.
