My brown hybrid hen laid this huge egg this morning. Well huge by her standards, about twice the size of her normal ones. This weighed in at 89 grams. Ouch

I bet its a double yoker. Let us know.
My small bird did not lay for two days and then this popped out, it was a double yoker. She has has two of these in 2 months.
No idea of weight. It tasted good though.

Had a fairly large one yesterday at 113 grams. Our biggest ever was 119 grams.
Don't get them so often now.

It's enough to make your eyes water, the thought of laying an egg of 100g plus

It will be tomorrow's breakfast. i'll let you know if it's a double. She's laid about four double yolkers already, the others none

We've only got 2 that have laid bigguns. I don't know if it's a top hen thing or just a genetic quirk.

It was indeed a double yolker. Poached it for husband's breakfast and I managed to drop it
What a pity
It would have covered two slices of toast
