can i make my own collars for cabbages etc, if so what is best to use.

i have bought some but they are a bit pricey so thought i could have a go myself -

People use old bits of carpet, underlay, weed suppresant fabric, and you could even use cardboard, which will eventually rot into the ground.

Thanks grannieannie for the speedy reply   - i have some weed suppresant fabric and some thinnish card so think i will trial both - thats me sorted for jobs this afternoon then
