Yet another mystery. OH found a bean sprouting in the greenhouse, potted it up and this grew from it !

Can anyone suggest what sort of bean it is ?
It looks a bit like a kidney bean but the resulting plant doesn't seem to match any photos I can find. The leaves are double, alternating on the stem, the flowers are white and pea/bean-like.

Thank you for looking and sorry for growing another strange species.

Didn't look the photos I could find of broad beans but it'll be nice if we get a few from it.

No idea how it got there because we've not had any.  :?

Thanks for the IDs.

Mmm...jelly beans! OH's mum bought us a giant tray of Jelly Belly beans for Christmas with 50 different flavours, we've been very restrained with them (ie didn't scoff them all in one go, though it was tempting!) and finally finished the tray last week during a Scrabble marathon! Yum!

Back to thread...

Ooooo. Now you're talking.  :D

We very occasionally treat ourselves to a small bag of jelly babies. You have to eat them in one sitting.

However, watch the height, and if the top disappears through a cloud, make sure you have a saw handy. And dont let any small boys climb it.

I'm going up it to look for a goose that lays golden eggs. Bill, Tim and Graeme managed it.
