Cawdor, I think is an expert on identifying these weeds. This seems to be the year of the fumitory. :lol:

ive searched it a bit and one site said its poisonus and another said birds love it?
i know i throw some of what i pull up to my chooks and they love it and are fine

oh and apparently it can be made into a yellow die which explains why i have yellow hands after pulling them up :D

According to my 'Wild Flowers of Britain' book it say it can be used medicinally for liver complaints especially jaundice  :?  flowers may to october.

Hey dont knock it, Fumitory is pretty fussy where its grows, if you got it you got relatively dry, well drained soil high in nutrients.


However, it DOES produce 1600+ seeds per plant...........
