Lemon Cuckoo Orpingtons
« on: June 11, 2008, 15:43 »
I would like to keep some of these - but im finding it very difficult to get hold of any. I didnt even reilise there was this colour until i looked on ebay and saw some eggs for sale that went for somthing like £40 for 6!.
They are amazing in colour they look similar to the lemon cuckoo pekin bantams - i have found a breeder but there is nothing available only some eggs later on.
If there is anyone who knows anything about the breed and where i could get some of them i would be very greatful for some information.

Thank you for reading and any replies
Jonathan

no expert i'm afraid - not at all as new to chicken keeping but there has been a thread about expenseive eggs on ebay, seems they are very popular at the moment.  :?

Hope you manage to find the breed you are looking for. :)
And welcome to the forum! :)

P.S. there is a breeder near me (SW Wales) that has some orpingtons (lavender etc) so maybe he can help?? or let you know how rare they are and if the cost of the eggs is right.
Chirpy Chicks
He sells through ebay also. :) We had a good chin wag before I got my girls and I'll happily go back to him when i'm ready for some pure breeds. :)
