I luuuuuurrrve garlic, but lately have been ranting that the local pizza place hasn't been putting any on my pizza, yet everyone around me is knocked flat out!

I think that proves that it is actually possible to have had too much garlic - I can't taste or smell it any more!  :roll:

corndolly, garlic plants don't have to be completely brown before harvesting. Once they start dying back, they can be pulled anytime as they'll neither grow any longer at this point nor get any 'riper'. The harvest times can vary greatly around the UK, especially when it was planted, the variety, the weather and climate.

Thanks Trillium, I'm no expert Garlic grower ,  mine were planted last Sept and are nt dying back yet , will watch out for that and harvest then .

As you say  types,climates, etc will make a difference .

As long as it's stone dry 3-4 weeks should be OK.
