« on: May 25, 2008, 14:35 »
the runner beans planted by others on our allotments are being attacked by something that produces maggots that eat there way up the stalks.

i havent planted mine yet. anything i can put in with the seeds to help prevent this or spray once they come through ?
A slug is for life not just for the allotment

The grubs live in the soil and attack seedlings. So grow plants in pots before planting out when bigger.
