Is it a good idea to sprinkle wood ash in with the soil in tomato buckets? Thanks
Try to be organic but will use black fly killer and a few slug pellets if desperate.

You can add some, if it's fresh from young wood will have some nutrients, too. It's slightly liming effect, not to a great extent though.
