Mine have 6-8 leaves and I'm not planting out till June. They don't like frosts much and slugs love them dearly.

Manured bed they need, I don't feed them beyond that.

Trench celery needs earthing up, self-blanching ones don't.

And all celeries are thirsty, bog-loving plants so keep them moist at all times for best growth.

Put some in right now and they'll still be a decent size by late summer.

I would start hardening them off, to me they look to be tending towards being 'leggy', but be very careful of the overnight temperatures, although they are now forecast to start to rise.

Re blanching - as gobs says, depends on the variety & it should say what to do on the packet.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Thanks for the advice I'll put them out in the shed, when is the best time to put them in the soil, do they like a well manured spot?

loads of muck turned into the bottom of the trench, sprinkle some decent topsoil on top of that and plant em out anytime now,it wouldnt do them any harm to throw some polly over them at night, and keep them well watered all the time
feed the soil not the plants
