and Derek you right about the golf course lol I dont know if it is private I will check with the land register tommorow morning.

It is the perfect spot. big enough to share with others on the waiting list.
It would be horrible if bulldozers parked up while I was about to harvest my first ever potatoes :cry:

Schools now have teach about food and it's origins.  Our site sec is also a local councillor :-) and has managed to secure extra funds from the education authority to support a plot :-)   It may be worth bearing this in mind when petitioning for new plots.  I'll find out the process and post back.
