Been slug hunting morning and night, and pretty horrified to see the scale of my slug problem. We have 4 hens and only 2 of them seem interested in slugs, one in particular seems to nab as many as we put in front of her.

But now i'm collecting 40 or 50 slugs each day.........how many is too many for a hen to digest?  Are there any side effects i should be looking out for?

Hi Liv.

No idea to be honest but apparently slugs can carry parasites which you need to be careful of. Hopefully one of the more experienced keepers can advise better.

Our girls run away from slugs and big giant worms they really don't like them at all.
They much prefer smaller little gruby things. :roll:

As with life in general.  All things in moderation. and a mixed diet with nothing in to great an abundance is best.
