No, you can eat the eggs after worming but you may not sell them or give them away - Just DEFRA regulations, no health problem that I know of.

If your hens seem to be going down hill though, worm them immediately.

It would also be a very good idea to give them some bio yoghurt each day for a  week or so, when they have finished the baytril, to get their tumms back to good health.  They love it too

Thanks for the advice.  The hens seem perfectly healthy apart from that damn cough, I shall tell Dorothy and Dave they will have to give up those cigars!!  

The poos seem a lot better too.  The last 2 evenings we have been allowing them to free range, after having their medicine, until bedtime.  They love it.

I daren't let them out of their run in the day, as we're out at work and we've seen foxes in the field at the back of our garden; which is at the moment completely unfenced!  :shock:
