Has anyone ever done this without a heat lamp?? I will have two lots of chicks and only one lamp. I am only talking about 5 or 6 chicks (i hope)  :)

stick a 40 watt house bulb with them ..... werks fer me n aggy :wink:

:D I had 2 chicks from school that lived in my daughters bedroom - we used a red bulb and left it on all the time - they cheeped in the night but not lots and didn't seem worried when it eventually went - they slept through the night better than my 7 year old!
