hi,

My very small row of cabbages (5 cabbages - go easy it was the first thing I planted on the site   ) are starting to turn their leaves inwards in the centre. Do they need any special treatment at this stage regarding feeding or watering?

Dried blood if you want to live up to your sig, mushroom.  But unless your soil is poor, I wouldn't bother.  What type cabbages are they BTW?

Dried blood is OK, but if you have foxes about then I've been told they dig around looking for it.

Not sure if that's 100% correct, just words of wisdom from one of our sites older chaps.
He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.

I'm unsure how to measure whether the soil is poor or rich. It looks rich, but then again, so do some people. The cabbages were gifted to me when I got the plot and this was in June. I can photo them if you like. In other words, I don't know the type.
