I told someone dandilions were called pissenlits in French and they didnt believe me!

There is a house near my sister in law who has a whole old fashioned toilet (with high cistern) mounted to the front wall of their house used as planter - and next to it is the sink. Great talking point but awful if you lived next door!!

I had one in the front garden when we lived in Essex.  I grew aubretia round the edges and various other bits in the middle (including dwarf MARIGOLDS!!!!!)

Until someone who shall remain nameless knocked it over and broke it!!!!!

Yup, we've scraped the bottom of the pan.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Some suitable roses:

Brownie, Can Can, Peer Gynt

Also, we've got a bush in our garden with tiny black flowers, possibly a Pittosporum, and it stinks just like urine. Really.
