2 eggs in 1 day!

Yesterday we had our normal 3 eggs from the 3 girls. Then later on Ginger was missing, I looked in the hen house and she was in the nestbox so I left her. When she emerged later and I went to look there was another egg, same size but very pale and thinner shelled. It was normal inside.

Is this normal?

We are an egg short today so presume it's Ginger and hopefully will be back to normal tomorrow, she's fine, nothing wrong.

That happened to me! Well not me :oops: one of my girls. Apparently its not unheard of but not that common. My girl laid 2 eggs in 1 sitting :shock: .

The day after i rescue my girlies i had 5 eggs in 8 hours from 4 chooks!!!

Well, just had another egg, so another day with 2 eggs from 1 hen! She was quiet behind a planter, I picked her up and put her in the run, she started acting strange and then just popped an egg out right there in the run. Another soft shelled one. Presume we'll be one short again tomorrow.
