I have the following seeds planted out at home, snuggled warmly in our spare room.

Aubergines
Chillis
Sweet Peppers
Tomatoes
Cucumber
Sweetcorn

We have two propagator lids and the promise of a heated propagator from Dad. Which ones will benefit most from the propagator and which from the heated ? Our central heating runs at 18.

They are all warm weather plants, I would put your favorites in them. If it were me I would leave the sweetcorn on a sunny windowsill. Put peppers in the heated bit!! Tomatoes grow easily anyway.

and unless your cukes can go out soon, you might wait on seeding those for a little while yet.

:? I got "Beth Alpha", http://www.growitalian.com/Qstore/Qstore.cgi?CMD=011&PROD=000138 which are small ones, for making into finnish style pickles and some ordinary long ones (free packet from friend)

I was planning on putting them in the greenhouse, will they be OK ? Mind you, it's a bit late now ! I only planted half the packet of the Beth Alphas.

For green house growing, it's OK, otherwise we do not know where you are. Are your gherkins for green house growing though?

Chilli, aub, peppers take longest to germinate, would make sense to put those in the propagators.

The allotment is in Hailsham, East Sussex.

I think the gherkins need to go in the greenhouse. I've got the chillies and aubergines in the ordinary propagators at the moment, so i will leave them there. Thanks !

Ah. Should I just plant them out on the allotment then ? Or in a container ?

I've never grown cucumbers before !

Mine will be going in the allotment.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
