interesting -when I bought Priscilla  (my old pekin cock)-he was running with about 60 hybrid hens, and I fell for him  hook line and sinker! The guy I bought him off was very reluctant now I realise why    he was so good at sorting out the girls!

I did read somewhere afterwards that if a cockerel is removed from the flock, he loses his position and goes to the bottom of the pecking order, and seeing poor old Freddie, with blood streaming from his comb, I can quite believe it, mind you, there were still about 200 Amberlinks here then!!!! lol
