Finally got stuck in

Had a great afternoon yesterday on the new allotment. My wife and 5 month old son came up to help too. We cleared and dug over a very weedy and tatty 5m x 3m bed and halfway through a second one.

Got to know a few of the new neighbours too. Think we're gonna love it up there!

Shame it's piddling down today  :(
Good beer, good BBQ and good friends.

do you have a shed? wonderful for watching the rain do a job for you while you have a cuppa and plan your next move! :D
if it grows, it grows! if it doesnt ,, ah well .. there's always next year. :-)

5x3 metres might be a bit big, some of what you grow will be 1.5 metres from a path.

I'm pretty sure walking on the bed is a big no no, then again, I'm growing raddishes inside.
We use chemicals in this garden, just as god intended

I know that happy feeling!

We have spent the past two days on our new allotment.

Mainly with a brushcutter beating everything back.

Now I can see what's underneath it all, it looks fab!
