did you know that putting little pieces of mirror (broken small bits) in between your carrots will kill carrot fly-  they dive into it thinking they will mate and this kills them dead when they hit the mirror

sorry folks-- it's true -true-true carrot flys think they see other carrot flys in the mirror and they dive at the mirror and kill themselves.  also look at henry's garden hints and tips --he agrees and says the same thing-even though everyone doubts it it works,  muddifoot  : :D

I grow my carrots inbetween onions & leeks. Apparently they don't like the smell or can't smell the carrots, cant remember which :?  Anyway it worked last year so am doing the same this year.
