Could someone please tell me what greenback free means :? ?
It is on my packet of tomato seeds which are Thompson&Morgan Tigrella Mr Stripey.I am a complete novice only had my allotment six weeks and this is something i have not seen on any of my other seed packets

Hi - greenback is a problem of tomatoes where the top (usually) refuses to ripen and remains green - hence the name.

It's usually caused by too much heat or sunlight and or not enough potash.
