Been working hard for the last month to build a coop for chickens.  
Finally finished and fetched my broody and eggs.  Two weeks ago the little darlings hatched. Is the coop big enough for 3 chickens, they are going to free range eventually around garden.  How soon can I put the chicks on the grass with mum so can give coop really good clean.  At moment just removing droppings daily and been told to keep them all inside so chicks don't get cold.

yes that looks big enough and dont let chicks out till at least 8 weeks old i think im right on that

a little run about wont hurt them, mum wont let them get into danger or get cold. its different with artificial hatching. but leave it to mum and open up the door and let them see the big world... they'll be fine

mum will keep them warm! mine go out in a sheltered run at around 2 weeks. I make sure when they are first let out that the grass is cropped very very short as chicks sometimes have trouble digesting fibrous material such as long grass. Also I would make sure that the run is covered until they are older as they could be taken by birds of prey, crows or cats.
