Welcome leaf, suggest you do some searches before asking, dead easy to do but ask away if not.
Punk isn't dead...it's underground where it belongs. If it comes to the surface it's no longer punk...it's Green Day!

We've been moving rasberry canes from an overgrown part of our plot since last year and did a couple more last week. The older ones are doing fine, producing lots of new growth, and the newest movers seem fine too, so far.

We've put them into rows with posts at each end and attached the canes to the wire we strung between those posts.

Talking about raspberries etc, bought some soft fruit stuff from Aldi, looked nice on the packet unfortunatly the canes inside wer'nt labelled can suss out the gooseberries cos of the thorns. Decided to chuck them in a couple of rows and see what transpires, question: when they hopefully grow and I can identify them will be ok to dig them up next winter to put them in a more orderly arrangement.

Drizabone, As long as the Aldi bushes are spaced a bit, you can easily move them next season after they go dormant. They respond best when they've got a bit of root space so you can also dig up some soil with the roots intact.
Leaf, you can move the raspberries while the growth is still small, which won't last much longer. Once they fully leaf out, you risk major setbacks in seasonal growth and fruiting if you move them then.
