I had some perched on an upturned waste bin in front of the bedroom window but I found it tipped on the floor, tomatoes and chillies everywhere

I'd need a windowsill about 40x larger than Sharky's to fit all my seeds once I start them.

Ohh, what on earth must you grow?  :?

once you start growing stuff from seed it becomes an addiction to the point where you have a greenhouse full then all the tender stuff on every windowsill in the house then have to start on rearing up pasting tables etc to take advantage of any available light.  Hence mine being on an upturned bin

Also don't forget to look at your local car boot sales.
Last year I got alot of plants I hadn't started, and they weren't anything like as expensive as online or garden centres.
I got tomato plants 4 or 5 for a pound, where as they were 3 for a £ in the garden center.
and Rhubarb for £2
there were all sorts, corgettes, peppers leeks most common things, I don't have a green house, I do window sills, but the kids knock them off alot! (GRRRRR!)
I have a pop up greenhouse to try this year, btu I am waiting another week or so to even sow into there.
IU think you are all bit early.. if I learnt anything on here it's the plants will catch up! nothing I ahve can go out before end May annyway so.....

Considering that 6 brassica plants come to £0.99 from D T Brown they are not that much more expensive for the peace of mind that they are unlikely to come with disease.

Our local petshop sells odds and ends of plants quite cheaply too.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.
