Or maybe more correct, them talking to me.

I was cleaning out chicken coops and I use meal worms as the ultimate enticement to return to the run.  Having got them safely back installed at home, I sat down for a coffee and the mealworm tub was still on the garden table.

A robin landed on the table, hopped over to the tub and gave it a meaningful stare, then gave me one too.  After this was repeated a couple of times, it hopped towards me and I got chirped at most abruptly 

It got a few for sheer cheek

When we get back from the shop there are always seagulls sitting on the roof of the house opposite, Paul's sister supplies us with sandwiches each day, but she uses  marg , paste, or cheap meat.  We don't eat them, we prefer our own.  When we get home, we tear up the offering and  put them out , they are scoffed within seconds!

I saved a blackbird today that had got stuck in my pea netting. Hopefully it pays me back by eating the slugs. I saw some starlings eating them in my garden so perhaps it had a word

The ravens/crows which roost in next-door's chimney are a real pain...

They've fledged now, and are terrorising the neighbourhood by belting around and shouting at all the other garden birds!

They also get into the church tower nearby, and generally act like thugs, especially when we fill the bird feeders, and I need to work out a way to net these, so at least the robins etc., can get to the grub...

Mr and Mrs Next door are exasperated too, as they make a darned racket far too early in the day...

Cue the chimney man to hoik out the nest and seal up all the holes!

I've been here 14 years, and never had a problem apart from a pigeon down the chimney about 7 years ago 

About a month ago i had to usher a large pigeon out of the kitchen, and today it was a small sparrow  Neither was talking to me much
