We managed to make our chutney with the absolute minimum of sugar - like a couple of ounces for several jars, as it's absolutely verboten here!
I still have plenty from 2019 lurking in the cupboard and the vinegar seemed to do the preservation trick!
I have to admit though, I zapped up a few jars with some nigh-on sugar-free damson jam, and added a handful of chillis, and we have loads of the best chilli jam we've had in ages!
