Cut some and didn't get round to move it for a couple of days.
Dried out volume wise, I would say a third of original volume. When I put it through a shredder wet it blocks it up. Dry no problems. Bagged it up (old pillow case).and put in comfrey butt. Now I am thinking this is a great way of storing it to put in the ground over winter. Once dried and shredded it's probably a tenth of its original volume.
But have i lossed any if the nutrients by drying it??

I wouldn't think there would be a problem, but I think the dried Comfrey would have to soak for a while before it would reach potency again.

I think one of the big benefits of comfrey is that it is very deep rooted so draws up minerals from way down in the soil.  I’m not sure drying it would lose much of anything.  It is used dried for most herbal medicines.
