Hi I have asked this question before but never really got any conclusive answer and though it may be futile I will try again
I say that in a nice way because everyone will have had different experiences.
So I have just spread well rotted manure on some of my beds on large one which is 6m x 1.5m which I thought I would plant out in the spring with a row of potatoes and two or three nice rows of onions... I then remembered reading that onions on manured ground is maybe not the thing to do because it causes rotting. However further research just muddies the water because some onion growing references say prepare the soil in the autumn with compost and/or well rotted manure ?? Come on chaps and chapesses what is the truth... is there a truth
