Wilty Tomato Plants
« on: April 26, 2021, 18:02 »
Hello

I have been growing my toms from seeds and they were progressing quite well and as we have good weather I put them outside for a bit during the day as they have been sitting in my office (purpose built garden office with a west facing window) and since this a few of them look like they have wilted a bit.
Is this a bit of wind damage or too much watering or something else. I thought I’d keep them in my office as although it gets a little cold at night the heating pops on around 4am.

Also should i start to think about feeding these?
Thanks
Mark

I guess the wind is the issue here, Mark. They really don't like a dry blast at all, and even mine in the GH get the hump when the vent opens!

No real need to feed them yet, if you used decent compost, so with a bit more TLC, they'll probably be OK!

Thanks for the response.
I can’t remember what compost i used in the end so well have to see. My watermelon is suffering too, the leaves are all shrivelled up which is frustrating. Gutted i put them outside now.
