Hi all
noticed yesterday my onions are going yellow, they have been in the ground over winter. see images.
Any ideas

I know we've had a very dry April, have you? I've had to water plants already..

yeah been dry have watered a few times.
Is that what it could be lack of water?

Could be, or maybe just the cold weather

Perhaps try a general fertilisers, maybe pelleted chicken manure or blood fish & bone as well as a good watering.

It seems mineral deficiencies can do this, Nitrogen or magnesium. Check some pics on google and see if this matches. Is your soil a bit tired? Mine was a few years ago and crops were getting poor.  I have added copious amounts of horse poo and garden compost ever since and that has helped.

Newer leaves on the second pic look alright, is the yellowing just due to older leaves? As the season progresses the plants should put on more vigorous growth.
