went to allotment yesterday just to check everything and something has been at my carrots ,the whole lot have had their tops pinched,just wondering if they will grow back or if the whole lot is ruined.all we want is some nice carrots for Christmas dinner

If the foliage has gone then they're not going to grow any more so I'd dig and store.

If you have some small ones, you could prep and freeze them for a delicate treat  for your Christmas dinner.  Otherwise, if the tubers are OK you can just store as normal if you prefer.

the tops only or some of the carrot as well?. rabbits will eat the whole . have experianced muntjac  eat only the green bit and not touch stacks of them .well not this one but the 4 legged variety
still alive /............

just the tops mate,looks really wierd,we do have a problem with our bunny friends but have loads of fencing up to keep them out

then i suspect it was a munty , the rabbits will dig down around the carrot top and eat it .where as munty wil just nibble down to the carrot itself

If the carrots themselves are of reasonable size they will keep well in the ground until required, but without tops will not get any larger.
