Just back from hols and me plum tommys have gone all red  ;)

Looking like a pasatta making day today.
1st batch picked (see photo) and when cutting into sections they are looking good inside too.

Punk isn't dead...it's underground where it belongs. If it comes to the surface it's no longer punk...it's Green Day!

I'm not the best tom grower as they don't seem to have a good flavour no matter what I do. Recently I've grown Roma plum toms because they're more meaty and the flavour is better for adding them to a blog or whatever.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

Nice tomatoes !
I have just started off my first batch of canned tomatoes  5L jars of San Marzano bottled whole covered with San Marzano passata and Roma  which were made into 6L jars passata. Will probably make the same again in September. Roma have been outstanding for me this year but being that bit smaller do take a bit longer to process. One other thing is that Roma while a lovely tomato have a much higher moister content than the San Marzano and require much more evaporation to make good passata.
