I'm looking for a little bit of advice on the above topic. I can see other people have tried this and given the weather and the fact it is going to get hotter (and I can get my hands on loads of cut grass) I'm thinking of mulching my veg plot. So any bare soil is covered and try to reduce the water loss. Particularly around the Toms as there is loads of bare soil until they get bigger.
However no one has mentioned if as the grass dries out it blows around the garden??. Stupid thought I know but it will make a right mess.
Also are there any fruit and veg that anyone wouldn't recommend mulching with grass?

Hi,

I have, for the first time put some grass cuttings around my celery, runner beans and courgettes in the hope it'll improve water retention.  Not sure if it'll work, but worth a try.
